This series of paintings are inspired by the biology of Flowering Plants and Seeds of the Western Hemisphere. The biological structure of the flowering plant and it's seeds became an emotional motif for my ponderings prior to the conception of my daughter. Not only is conception a theme in these paintings but gestation, procreation,cultivation, sex, birth and motherhood all all themes represented in this deeply personal body of work.
